Fondée au XIe siècle par les Ifrénides, Salé est une ville au long historique architectural et culturel. Depuis la fin du XXe siècle, elle connaît une forte croissance de sa population et une dégradation de son image, notamment à cause d'une urbanisation anarchique, qui constitue un danger quotidien pour celle qui était alors une cité paisible où il faisait bon vivre. Dans ce documentaire, Salé est racontée par deux générations au travers des témoignages évoquant l’état de la ville, son insécurité et ses changements, entre hier et aujourd’hui.

“Beyond Salé’s doors”. Founded in the 11th century by the Ifrénides dynasty, Salé is a city with a long architectural and cultural history. Since the end of the twentieth century, it has experienced a strong growth in population and a deterioration of its image, particularly because of anarchic urbanization, a daily danger for what was then a peaceful city where life was good. In this documentary, Salé is recounted by two generations through testimonies evoking the state of the city, insecurity and changes, in between yesterday and today.
