Depuis la fenêtre de la maison, je vois une vie précieuse. Sur un champ se tient un palmier. Stable comme ma grand-mère, plus il grandit et s’allonge, plus son ombre s’étend et les fruits abondent. Ces détails rappellent les traits peints sur la peau de ma grand-mère, cette femme qui me fait ressentir tant de choses, invisibles mais si présentes.

“Palm Tree”. From the house’s window, I see a precious form of life. On a field stands a palm tree. Stable, like my grandmother, the more it grows and elongates, the more its shade expands and the fruits abound. Its features are similar to those painted on my grandmother’s skin, this woman who makes me feel so many things, invisible but so present.
